Two died and three others were injured after a landslide buried two buildings in northwest China's Gansu Province, said local government on Sunday.
The landslide occurred at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, destroying two residential houses in Wudu District, Longnan City, said the district government.
More than 200 rescuers pulled out five people from the debris of one building as the search efforts ended on Sunday evening. No one was living in the other building.
Two of the five, a woman aged 75 and a man aged 44, died despite doctors' efforts. The other three injured people, including a five-year-old boy, are receiving treatment in hospital. Two of them are in serious conditions.
The cause of the landslide is being investigated.
