Heavy clashes erupted Sunday in the city of Sabratha in western Libya, leaving three troops killed and over five injured, Head of the Libyan Directorate for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM) Bassem al Gharabli told local media.
Militiamen opened fire on a security checkpoint. Our men retaliated, he added.
For his part, Director of Sabratha Central Hospital Hisham el Feki said medical teams find it hard to reach hospital due to the continued violent clashes in the city center.
He added that just one body and seven injured were received by the hospital.
