The Lebanese army said six Daesh fighters were killed in confrontations in Jurod, Ras Baalbek and Al Qaa in northern Beqaa Valley in Lebanon on Wednesday.
In a statement on Thursday, the army said five army personnel were injured and a mortar was destroyed in the fighting.
It added that a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was seized within the course of the confrontations.
