6 wounded in Kentucky shootings

Three law enforcement officers were among at least six people shot in Breathitt County, Ky., authorities said Sunday night. The Lexington Herald-Leader reported Kentucky State Police Trooper Jody Sims said the incident occurred about 8:10 p.m. in the community of Houston, about 10 miles from Jackson. Sims said a state trooper and two Breathitt County sheriff's deputies were wounded but were expected to survive. A suspect and two apparent passersby also were injured.
