The Chinese government will send 30 million yuan (4.7 million U.S. dollars) of humanitarian aid to help flood-hit Thailand, the Ministry of Commerce said Tuesday. The material will be shipped from China on Wednesday, said the ministry in a statement. The aid comes after the government sent 10 million yuan of disaster relief material, including 64 rescue boats and 60 sets of water-purifying equipment, to Thailand last week. At least 307 Thais have been killed and three others remain missing in the worst flooding in decades in Thailand after tropical storms and monsoon rains ravaged the country in late July, Thai officials said Monday.
