Colombian Navy has confiscated 1.1 tons cocaine in the Pacific coast, the military forces said on Sunday in a statement.The drug was found in Gallo island of Salahonda municipality, in the southwestern state of Narino. The Colombian Navy found the drug while having "military control" actions in the region. The cocaine was going to be sent to the United States."With these actions against drug trafficking, the Pacific Navy Force avoided the entrance of cocaine valued almost 34 million U.S. dollars, which is the cost of the confiscated cocaine on the international blackmarket," said the navy in a statement. In the hidden storage, the navy force found "more than 1,000 small bundles of pressed cocaine, stored in 57 packages ready to be shipped."This year, Colombian navy has confiscated about 25 tons cocaine during several operations in the Pacific coast.
