The Dubai Taxi Corporation has started implementing a weekly off day system for taxi drivers, according to which each driver will get one off day every week.
The system will cover airport taxi, hala taxi, limousine and regular taxis of the Dubai Taxi Corporation fleet.
Dr. Yousuf Al Ali, Executive Director of Dubai Taxi Foundation, said: "The launch of the system comes as part of the company's keenness to provide relief to drivers from physical and mental workload."
"With drivers well rested, it will also improve safety levels on the roads," he said.
