Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Egypt and Russia are working together to launch negotiations between the Syrian government and the opposition, Egyptian TV reported.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Monday, Lavrov said that they discussed the situation in Syria and creating de-escalation zones, with the help of Egypt that managed to seal deals on establishing de-escalation zones in Homs and Eastern Ghouta in Syria.
