A former UN employee has been arrested for allegedly obtaining more than $100,000 in salary as a result of holding jobs at the UN and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) at the same time, the website of the U.S. Department of Justice said. According to a statement released by the Department of Justice, Jeffrey Armstrong accepted a full-time position with the United Nations in March 2008 after taking a leave of absence from the Department of the Army. His salary at the UN was approximately $160,000. On April 13, 2009, he allegedly began working at the NLRB with an approximate salary of $121,000. The man allegedly did not inform his supervisors of his dual employment. Armstrong is scheduled to be arraigned on July 7. He could receive up to 20 years in prison and fined $250,000 for each wire fraud count.
