Boko Haram attack
Cairo - Egypt Today

Dar Al-Ifta's Fatwa Monitoring Observatory condemned Thursday the attack by Boko Haram terrorist group that killed nine servicemen and a civilian in northeastern Nigeria.

In a statement, the observatory affirmed that Islam bans all forms of aggression on human beings and considers such acts of killing, kidnapping, stealing or frightening others as heinous crimes requiring strict punishment.

Boko Haram exploits little religious knowledge of people in the African villages and countryside to spread extremist ideas to achieve the group's objectives of recruiting the largest number of suicide elements, the observatory added.

The observatory called for rallying international efforts to face terrorism all over the world.

The observatory also highlighted the need to raise awareness in the African countries to fight extremist curricula.

The Nigerian Army have announced earlier that Boko Haram insurgents killed nine soldiers and a civilian in an attack that targeted a group of oil explorers in north eastern Nigeria.

Nigeria is lately witnessing increasing attacks by Boko Haram targeting crowded areas like markets and refugee camps.
