Israeli soldiers kidnapped, on Tuesday at dawn, eight members of the leftist Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), in the city of Jenin, in the northern part of the West Bank, and nearby areas, according to the International Middle East Media Centre (IMEMC). Local sources reported that the army invaded Jenin, and the Jenin refugee camp, broke into and searched several homes before kidnapping Sofian Esteity, who had a heart surgery just a month ago, Moayyad Al Amer, Jamal Az-Zobeidy, Jenin City Council member Mohammad Mansour, Ja'far Abu Salah, Fadi Daoud, Joseph Eseeed, and Majed Noeirat. Palestinian security sources stated that soldiers detonated the doors of several homes they broke into to conduct the arrests, and violently searched the homes, causing panic among the residents and leading to property damage. Furthermore, troops invaded the nearby towns and villages or Ya'bod, Sanour, Jaba', Mothallath Al Shuhada' and Beer Al Basha. Dozens of soldiers were deployed in the area and on the entrances of villages and towns, and also installed a number of temporary roadblocks.
