A teenage girl and two young women have been injured in a shooting in west London. The victims, aged 17, 18 and 19, were taken to hospital after the incident in John Fearon Walk, near Ladbroke Grove, just before 19:15 BST. London Ambulance Service said the 18-year-old had been taken to hospital as a priority while the two others had made their own way there. Police said early indications were that a single shot had been fired. A police spokesman said the youngest girl has now been discharged after treatment but the other two victims remain in a central London hospital. The injuries of all the three victims were "not life-threatening". He said: "We have got officers down there trying to piece together what is going on." A spokesman for London Ambulance Service said: "Staff treated an 18-year-old woman at the scene. She was taken to hospital as a priority. "Two other teenage girls, also with gunshot wounds, made their own way to hospital." The incident is being investigated by officers from the Met Police's Operation Trident which tackles gun crime in the black community. Karen Buck, MP for Westminster North, expressed her concern as she visited the Mozart Estate where the shooting happened. The Labour politician, who has previously called for crackdowns on knife and gun crime, tweeted: "On Mozart Estate after reports of 3 girls being shot. "Desperately worried about local gang and youth violence. We have to get a grip." Community leaders have made several attempts to make the area safer in recent years. Yew trees and a herb garden in a chequer board pattern were planted along John Fearon Walk after it was identified as a hotspot for anti-social behaviour.
