Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) lodged a report to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today asking the commission to investigate the medical claim allegedly made by PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu from Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang Sdn Bhd. PCM vice-president Huan Cheng Guan said the medical claim, totalling RM8,434.05, was doubtful because he said the amount actually charged by KPJ Specialist Hospital in Selangor was only RM5,060.54. He claimed that Mohamad had also abused his position as the corporation's board member when filing the claim. "Mat Sabu, as a former member of parliament, is entitled to receive treatment at the first class ward in government hospital," he told reporters after lodging the report here. Huan said Mohamad had sought treatment at the private hospital for the injuries he allegedly sustained during the July 9 rally in Kuala Lumpur and had nothing to do with discharging his duties for the corporation.
