Neglect charges against three managers of a privately-run nursing home in Surrey have been dropped. The charges related to allegations of wilful neglect and ill-treatment of residents at Rose Hill Nursing Home, in Rose Hill, Dorking. In December 2010, two proprietors of the nursing home, Tarlochan and Jasbir Chahal, and the nursing home manager, Kalsum Noh, were charged.A CPS spokeswoman said the evidence was "insufficient" to convict."As a result of further investigation and recent case law we re-reviewed the evidence accordingly and concluded it was insufficient to reach a realistic prospect of conviction," she said."We would need to prove specific acts led to specific consequences for specified individuals in the home who lacked capacity and the evidence prevented us from being able to do so in this case."
