A passenger plane made an emergency landing in Russia's Siberia on Friday, after its left engine caught fire, said the emergency ministry. All the 67 passengers and seven crew members were safely evacuated, reported the RIA Novosti news agency. The fire broke out in the Tu-134 jet's left engine shortly after the plane's takeoff. The plane immediately had the landing at an airport in Novy Urengoi in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, according to an airport official. The plane belongs to the Yamal airline and an investigation was underway. In June, a Tu-134 passenger plane crashed in heavy fog in northwestern Russia, killing 47 people and injuring five others.
