The Saudi security authorities dismantled four terrorist cells in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and Qassim, who are involved in a spate of terrorist activities. The Interior Ministry's security spokesman said that eighteen people had been arrested in the pre-emptive operations, including two Yemenis , one Sudanese and 15 Saudi nationals.
The arrestees are accused of providing a shelter to wanted fugitives, including Taiee bin Salem bin Yaslam Al-Sairir who was killed by storming a terrorist hideout in Yasmeen District in Jeddah. Two other terrorists, Khaled Ghazi Hussain Al-Sarwani and Nadi Marzouq Khalaf Al-Madhani, Saudi nationalities, blew themselves up after refusing to surrender to the security forces at Harazat district in Jeddah.
The arrestees are also involved in supporting and promoting deviant thoughts of Daesh terrorist organization on the internet, recruiting people in favor of the terrorist organization, inciting to participate in the fighting in the conflict zones and providing financial support.
The Saudi arrestees Ibrahim Saleh Saeed Al-Zahrani, Khaled Abdurrahman Mohammed Sharahili, Raji Abdu Ali Hassan, Saeed Saleh Saeed Al-Zahrani, Sulieman Ibrahim Abdurrahman Al-Fawzan, Saleh Ali Abdurrahman Al-Shalash, Atef Souab Dhafer Al-Shehri, Abdulaziz Mohammed Abdulaziz Al-Swaid, Abdullah Ibrahim Sulieman Al-Othaibi, Abdullah Hmoud Abdullah Al-Othaibi, Abdullah Mohammed Al-Hamidi, Abdulmalek Hamad Abdullah Al-Fahid, Mohammed Hamad Sulieman Al-Fahid, Mejel Ibrahim Abdurrahman Al-Fawzan, Muhanad Hamad Sallah Al-Zaidi Al-Otaibi, Ayman Omar Ahmad Muqbil.
The police arrested also Yemenis Khaled Ahmad Mohammed Ba Jafaar, and Sudanese Mazen Alameen Mukhtar Mohammed. The security operations also resulted in the seizure of a number of automatic and white weapons in addition to more than SR2000,000. The Ministry of the Interior stresses its keenness to respond forcefully and decisively to these terrorist activities and formations as well as to bring those involved to justice.
