A 37-year-old woman died after she lost control over her car and crashed into a cement pole near the entrance of the Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai. The woman died on the spot.
An official from the Jebel Ali police station - where the case is being investigated - said the woman was speeding when she crossed a speed hump. She lost control on the vehicle and crashed into the pole.
The official said the police were notified about the accident at 6:00am and immediately dispatched the nearest patrol and paramedics to the site. The first responders arrived within five minutes, the source added.
The body was shifted to the morgue, after which the police cleared the road for traffic.
