A 42-year-old man has denied in the Court of First Instance on Monday the charge of sexually abusing his boss' daughter while she was alone at home. The court on Monday heard that the Bangladeshi driver allegedly kissed the 16-year-old Indian student while her parents were on a trip to India for treatment.
The incident occurred on June 27 when the driver showed up at his employer's house to bring lunch for the girl as instructed by her father. "He came carrying a bag containing food. He had been working for my father for the last 10 years and we are used to him coming to our house to drop documents or food," said the victim.
After she took the food, all of a sudden, he asked her to kiss him on the cheek, but the girl refused. "He grabbed me by my chin and kissed me on both cheeks. I pushed him away when he tried to kiss me further."
He then asked for a glass of water. "As I brought it from the kitchen, I saw that he had already entered the house. I went to my room thinking he would leave but I was surprised when he followed me."
She told the prosecutor he then grabbed her by her shoulder and sexually abused her as she resisted him fiercely. He left her there distraught.
She added the accused had kissed her on her cheek once when she was 13. She did not tell her parents back then because she thought it was normal.
This time, she confided in her friend, who then told her sister. The victim said she did not try to scream for help as she was afraid of what the accused would do to her.
Her father, a 54-year-old businessman, came back to Dubai two days later and filed a complaint at Al Rafaa police station. He told the prosecutor he had assigned the driver with dropping meals at his house for his daughter during the few days he was away with his wife.
"However, I got a call from my other daughter telling me about the defendant's shocking behaviour."
A copy of the conversation the victim had with her friend telling her about the defendant's actions was used as public prosecution evidence.
