Caption Cairo – Akram Ali The potential Egyptian presidency candidate Bouthaina Kamel expressed her great concern regarding the recent behaviors of the Egyptian army, describing them  as "the plan" which by the military wants to wrap around the January 25th Revolution.  In the history of modern Egypt, Bouyhaina Kamel is the first woman who runs for Presidency. She says that "the Egyptian revolution is already threatening to wrap around her as long as the army practices acts of violence, arrests and military trials,” reaffirming that she has a number of videos that condemn the army, in addition to some people who were tortured and detained by military police after February 11thmeaning after the resignation of former President Hosni Mubarak. She added that she turned to the military tribunal since the army found out that she is against them explaining that: "when I was in the military tribunal and met a number of army leaders they told me that all the Jurists are agents and bribed by foreign sources.” She continued: "they distorted my image, and they said that I handed out dollars to demonstrators during the Abbasid events to break into the Ministry of Defense building.” And in regards to her media campaign for running for Egyptian presidency, Kamel said that: "there is a clear disregard by the media, especially officially, towards my campaign, but when Western media shed light on me as the first woman to run for Presidency, that really helped with my publicity to a certain extent.”  She pointed out that the military considered her and Dr. Ayman Nour , also a likely candidate for Presidency, as two agents who are following a foreign agenda, and ones who  incite young people to protest and oppose the Council. Talking about the goals of her campaign, she stressed that the fight against poverty is her main objective, saying that "I have recently visited the province of Assiut and some surrounding villages, and my heart cried out for the citizens' life conditions there where no one has paid any attention to them. Combating poverty in addition to political awareness is the most important thing now in order to generate a new society".  Kamel said that she is certain that all Port Said residents will give their vote to her as she went there and explained to them her development program which will improve their social state, adding that every time she goes to Said their trust in her and her popularity increases.  And about the rejection of Islamists to her candidacy as a woman, Kamel said: "before I comment on this topic, I must divide the Salafists into two factions; the first follows the State Security that burns churches and fuels sectarian strife, and the second faction is the one that stood by the January 25th Revolution and protected the Square at the time of sit-ins. I don't know who will give me their vote, but I think there are many who are in favor of me. " As for joining the "Enough" (Kifaya) movement and supporting the 6th April movement after being accused of being a traitor by the Military Council, Kamel said: "I have already known the youth of 6th April movement and Kifaya movement before the events of the revolution took place, and I assure you that they are youngsters who truly love Egypt, and they were not traitors, all what is said is fabrication and accusations just because they are anti-wrong-doers who don't want Egypt to progress to become a true democratic state.” About the possibility of the alliance with any other candidate when the actual nomination for presidency takes place Kamel said: "I don't know if I can ally with another candidate and work together with them, but what I can be sure of in the current time is that I will compete strongly, and I will fight to win till the end, not greed in office at all, but to serve my country and people who need a real person to help them without consideration for their title or money.”
