Ahmed has worked 11 years with Channel 4 News, but now boss thinks her appearance is not suitable for channel.
Samira is 42 years old, she will be leaving channel in next eleven days.
She decided to quit Channel when chief does not like her hair.
She had been treated in an explicit sexual way; comments one of her close friends.
It has been reported that she was called in bosses room where she pointed out about her hair.
Some inside reports reveals that she was being forced to take a demotion from her present position, presenter to reporter. She was dealing some clashes since some time; she had to seek written permission every time she used to leave the newsroom.
On some of BBC shows like “Celebrity Mastermind” and “Have I Got News For You”
Higher authorities were not happy at her appearance.
Miss Ahmad has been provided a pay-off for keeping her mouth shut over the clashes with bosses at the news service.
Channel 4 News was launched in 1982, the history of channel show it has been dominated by male presenters. Now appearance issue of Samira has raised another question over the role of women at the show.
Jon Snow and Krishnan Guru have been at front of screen for many years. Now Cathy Newman would be third regular political news presenter.
Samira was invited to apply for role but she was not hired. She was presenter of noon bulletin at Channel 4.she was second tier newsreader some times.
The real clash between Samira and bosses started last year June at the report about Government advertising in the wake of the spending cuts, this report was filmed by Samira.
