Renowned Egyptian journalist Hamdy Kandil passed away late last night in Cairo after struggling with illness. He was 82.
The late media personality had a prolific career, hosting successful political programmes, including “With Hamdy Kandil” on the Al-Arab Radio and TV, the “The Editor-in-Chief” on the main Egyptian TV channel.
The renowned journalist then hosted “Qalam Rusas (Pencil) on the Dubai TV channel, then the Libyan television.
Married to Egyptian actress and 70s and 80s movie star Naglaa Fathy, Kandil recently published his autobiography titled “I Lived Twice”.
