Egyptian journalist Belal Fadel Cairo - Arabstoday Egyptian journalist Belal Fadel announced the upcoming launch of “The People Want,” Egypt’s first subscription channel at a press conference Thursday. Fadel revealed that he formed a legal team to form the company through a public offering to raise funds. Applications to participate in the channel will be received on Friday. Fadel also formed a media work team to suggest general and detailed screening projects for the channel. The drafts of the projects will be published on the Internet. “It will be owned by all people,” said Fadel. He said the channel would not be under anyone’s control. Fadel also said he will organize a march on Friday against violations on freedom of media. The march will start in front of the press syndicate.
