twofour54 was named the winner of the ‘Best Editing Award' at the 11th Digital Studio Awards ceremony in recognition of the post-production team's technical innovation and breadth of work covering regional and international television and feature films.
Maryam Al Mheiri, Chief Operating Officer at twofour54, said, "It is our vision to become the regional hub for content creation and receiving Digital Studio's Best Editing Award is testimony to our commitment to serve excellence to clients who choose to produce their projects in Abu Dhabi."
"Our post production facilities are designed to meet the needs of our clients, whether they are looking to work on feature films, television dramas, TVC's or corporate videos. I am proud of our team's achievements as we look ahead to twofour54 continuing to build a sustainable media industry in the capital, ready to service projects of any scale," she added.
twofour54's post production team, led by Ali Salloum, Senior Edit Producer, worked closely with AFM films and Emirati director Ali Mostafa, on his film, "From A to B" which was produced by Image Nation. The team was awarded for their editing as they managed to reduce the first cut of the movie from 140 minutes to 100 minutes within a more restructured time frame and without losing the integrity of the storyline.
Recently released in the UK, the critically acclaimed film, which world premiered at the 2014 Abu Dhabi Film Festival, revolves around three long-time friends who travel on an adventurous road trip from Abu Dhabi to Beirut in memory of their lost friend.
The Digital Studio Awards acknowledges individuals, organisations, and companies that have contributed to the broadcast and production industry. twofour54 has previously won Digital Studio's ‘Post Production House of the Year' in 2011 and 2012, and was voted ‘Studio of the Year' in 2010 and 2014.
