Two children were killed and dozens more wounded Thursday in air strikes on Syrian camps for the displaced probably carried out by Russian warplanes, a monitor said.
"The probable Russian warplanes conducted eight raids in an area where two IDP camps" are located in Atareb, west of Aleppo city, said Rami Abdel Rahman of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
"Many of these raids affected both sites, killing two children and injuring 30 others", he told AFP, adding that "10 tents were burned".
The displaced fled to nearby fields, said Abdel Rahman.
Rebel groups in Aleppo province are mainly concentrated in the area west of the regional capital, regularly targeted by air raids of the Syrian regime and its Russian ally.
In early May, at least 28 civilians were killed in a strike on a camp for displaced people in the northwestern province of Idlib.
Moscow and Damascus denied any involvement.
Russia launched a campaign of air strikes in September that it says are targeting IS and other jihadist groups in Syria.
A US-led coalition has also been carrying out air strikes against IS in Syria since September 2014.
