Luxury investments hit Marrakech

Marrakech is a luxury tourism hub   Rabat - Rachid Bougha Monday signed a partnership agreement in order to encourage American tourism in Morocco and attract more investment. Tourism minister Hassan Haddad, declared that signing the agreement with the US hotel group would significantly contribute towards increasing the value and attractiveness of Marrakech and Morocco in general as a tourist destination, especially in luxury tourism. He added that luxury tourism was essential to the national economy and created many jobs, boosting Morocco's tourism and economic development. The US group will try to entice American tourists to the North African country and encourage investments in the country's tourism sector. The deal was signed by the Director-General of ECM Ahmed Benany and head of investment of the Morgans Hotel group in New York Youaf Jerry.
