Maroma Resort and Spa Mexico - Arabstoday Situated on the soft white sandy beaches of Mexico’s Riviera Maya, Maroma Resort & Spa is an idyllic retreat for both adults and children alike. With younger guests in mind, this April will see the inauguration of a new family friendly programme. Available throughout the year, families with children of all ages will be welcomed as the carefully planned programme ensures that Maroma’s young guests are both entertained and made to feel special while preserving the tranquil and sophisticated environment for which the resort is famed. Building on the success of 2011, when for the first time the resort accepted children during the summer months, little ones will be able to enjoy an exciting new games centre, a dedicated family swimming pool, children’s menus and amenities, and tailored activities including treasure hunts and mini-Mayan yoga. As they arrive at the hotel children will be given their very own guide, with details of the activities that can be enjoyed during their stay. In-room mini-sized slippers, child size kaftans, and disposable bottles (where needed), ensure that every necessity has been thought of. While complimentary cookies and milk at bed time will make even the most active monsters ready for sleep. Children will be able to splash around in the newly dedicated and family swimming pool, while parents and older guests can take a leisurely swim undisturbed in the adult only pool. Maroma beach is truly one of a kind on the Riviera Maya, long and un-crowded there is plenty of space for both bucket and spades and for those who would prefer to peacefully relax reading a book. The Games Centre is also sure to be a hit, offering modern and traditional Mexican games including an X-Box 360, beach toys, table football, ping-pong and Loteria (a card game favoured by children in Mexico). Maroma understands that every now and then parents need a little rest and each day the resort will organise activities, supervised by trained professionals, for children to participate in. From cupcake and Mexican kite making to more soothing mini-Mayan yoga, that incorporates animals important to the Mayan culture (such as eagles, dragons and snakes) or treasure hunts around the resort, Spanish and tennis lessons and movie nights, all lively little minds will be kept entertained. With mealtimes forming an important part of the day, children’s menus will be available throughout the hotel’s restaurants, catering for even the fussiest of eaters. Whilst colouring books and crayons will help keep the younger ones occupied at the table.
