Stylish spring collection
London - Arabstoday

Stylish spring collection London - Arabstoday For Spring 2012, Cole Haan partnered with the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) on a campaign that celebrates the rich complexity and momentum of life in New York City through the lens of the subway system. Every day over five million people ride the trains. They fall in love. Write books. Invent things. Give up. Start up. Break up. And then get up and do it all over again. The subway is chaotic, colorful and constantly moving forward, a tribute to individuality and what makes this city so great. Featuring filmstrip-style photography set against the backdrop of everyday commuting, the campaign captures Cole Haan shoes, bags and outerwear doing more than just pose. It shows them standing up to the heavy treading, sidewalk strutting, train hopping and other rigours of everyday life in the Big Apple. If they can make it here, we figure, they can make it anywhere. A new logo was designed for the campaign using the letters of actual subway lines to spell out Cole Haan. Since there’s no O line, the campaign used the letter Q; the H represents the historic but no-longer-running Fulton Street Line. For each letter, they developed corresponding images, stories and looks to represent the unique characters and styles they imagine might crowd its platforms every day. Just like the lines on a real subway map, they intersect, connect and overlap. Key street-worthy styles are highlighted throughout the campaign. Among them, the women’s Alisa Oxford brings neon pop and a super-pliable rubber sole to a traditionally stodgy shoe. The Men’s Air Franklin Oxford sports a Nike Air-injected sole and a breathable, light-on-the-foot feel. The functional yet futuristic LunarGrand fuses Nike’s gravity-defying Lunarlon cushioning system with the construction of a classic wingtip. Handbags feature convertible crossbody straps and versatile, take-anywhere shapes, while lightweight and layerable coats and jackets are made to go
