Mary Portas London - Arabstoday From Saturday girl at John Lewis, to the creative force behind Harvey Nichols; TV's Queen of Shops to the government's retail advisor, Mary Portas has changed the face of the British high street Last year, as Mary approached 50, she became aware of how intensely focused the British high street is on youth, with no 'spiritual home' for women. Cue collaborations with a selection of carefully-chosen partners, to create a capsule collection of beautiful products. For footwear, the choice was simple - Clarks. This is a collection for women. A collection for grown-ups (whatever age they might be). Designer shoes with a fashion edge built with Clarks' unquestionable quality and comfort. Says Mary, "We honed each detail of the range to make it perfect for every aspect of a woman's lifestyle. We have great shapes - from edgy wedges to elegant courts - that serve up instant style. While they look super-hot, they are also deceptively comfortable. I defy anyone to say they could find a more comfortable three-inch heel than mine - a true shoe revolution!" This exciting new collaboration will be available both online at clarks.co.uk and at a selection of our high street stores. Mary Portas will be introducing the collection at a special event at our flagship Oxford Street store in September, and our Birmingham and Manchester stores in October. The story behind the shoes will be shown on a new Channel 4 TV series in October.
