Profits going toward planting trees
Beirut - Arabstoday

Profits going toward planting trees Beirut - Arabstoday In honor of Earth Day, Kiehl’s, the venerable New York-based purveyor of fine quality skin and hair care since 1851, introduced its Limited Edition Label, with 100% of Kiehl’s net profits going towards planting trees with Goumbook, a UAE based environmental company. Goumbook is the main reference for the UAE and the Gulf region on practices for environmentally conscious businesses and individuals. One of the initiatives Goumbook strives to push is the “Give a Ghaf” tree planting program. The Ghaf, recently declared the UAE national tree, is a symbol of the living desert, a tree that survives the harsh temperatures of arid land in seasons when there is little other sustainable vegetation. This April, Kiehl’s and Goumbook will donate 3 Ghaf trees for every purchase of a Rare Earth Product. Staying true to Kiehl’s longstanding mission of supporting initiatives to help preserve and protect the environment, Studio Number One has created a Limited Edition label for Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque. This product is formulated with fairly-traded Amazonian White Clay from the Marajo Island, an ingredient found at the basin of Brazil’s Amazon River. White Clay, also known as “magic earth,” is a natural ingredient known for its skin detoxification properties. The Limited Edition Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque features soft, cool colors combined with bold lines and floating shapes lending a sense of comfort to the overall design. The main image of an individual hugging the Earth depicts a heartwarming, calming vision of social responsibility reiterated within the theme, “Love the Earth.” "Love the Earth - a simple concept that speaks volumes. No matter your country, your race, or religion- we all share this planet. It is up to us to ensure the planet is able to continue giving for generations to come. By “Loving the Earth” we are giving back to a planet that has given each and every one of us so much”, says designer Justin Atallian of Studio Number One.
