The Palestinian cabinet hailed facilities Egypt has provided for Gaza pilgrims to leave for the holy lands to perform the Hajj rituals.
In a statement following Tuesday's session under Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, the cabinet also praised a decision taken by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz increasing the number of Palestinian pilgrims and services provided by the Kingdom for them.
Egyptian authorities exceptionally opened Rafah border terminal with Gaza Strip on Sept. 7 to let in Gaza pilgrims travelling for hajj.
The terminal was shut down by Egyptian authorities in the wake of the terrorist attack on October 24 but every now and then it is being opened exceptionally to let in stranded people and humanitarian cases.
Around 6,000 Palestinian pilgrims will perform hajj this year, including 2,450 from Gaza Strip.
