African Parliament Speaker Roger Nkodo condemned on Monday the terrorist attack that hit the Boutroseya Church in Cairo's Abbassiya district yesterday.
The blast left 25 persons dead and 49 others injured.
At a press conference, he expressed heartfelt regret over this tragic incident, offering his condolences to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Egyptians and families of the victims.
He urged the Egyptian media and press to convey to the entire world the true unity of Egyptians in face of this black terrorism.
Terrorism knows no religion and does not differentiate between Muslim and Christian, citing the occurrence of terrorist attacks in Egypt, one outside a mosque on Friday and the other one inside a church on Sunday.
Africa and the entire world are suffering from terrorism, he said, adding that one of the top priorities of the African parliament is to mull enacting a new legislation to fight extremist ideas and terrorism.
