China strongly condemned two terrorist attacks on churches in Tanta and Alexandria that left dozens dead and injured.
In a statement on Monday, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hua Chunying said the Chinese leadership sent a cable of condolences to the Egyptian leadership over the victims of the attacks.
China denounced all forms of terrorism and backs efforts exerted by Egypt to preserve its national security and stability and fight terrorism, the spokesman said.
He also expressed China's keenness on boosting cooperation with the international community to eradicate terrorism.
