The Orthodox Coptic church
Cairo - Arab Today

The Orthodox Coptic church has condemned Sunday's terrorist attack in the precincts of the Abbasia-based Cathedral.

In a statement, the church said one of our old churches, the Botroseya Church has come under a cowardly and villainous attack leaving a number of people dead and wounded.

The statement regretted all acts of violence and terror against innocent worshipers wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.

The statement called on Egyptians to maintain their unity and offered condolences to the families of the victims.

The Church said it was praying for the innocent victims and also for the criminals to return to their senses.
