Egypt has strongly condemned a car bombing that occurred in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, Sunday and killed six people and wounded 20 more.
The Foreign Ministry, in a statement Monday, condoled with families of the dead and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
Egypt supports the people and government of Somalia in the fight against terrorism, the statement said.
It also backs efforts by the Somali government to achieve stability in the country and reconstruct state institutions, it added.
Egypt renews calls for the international community to intensify efforts to counter terrorism and dry up funds to terrorist groups, the statement said.
