France has strongly condemned the series of attacks in the Saudi cities of Jeddah, Qatif and Madenah.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Roman Nadal expressed in statements Tuesday sympathy with the families of the victims and offered condolences to them.
He said France was standing shoulder to shoulder with the kingdom in combating terrorism.
Saudi press reports had indicated that a suicide bomber and four security personnel were killed in a blast near a security office of the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina while a simultaneous attack on a mosque in the mainly Shiite eastern city of Qatif killed at least one suicide bomber.
The twin assaults followed another attack of Monday near the US consulate in Jeddah, when a suicide bomber detonated his vest by a mosque near the consulate, injuring two security guards.
