GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani strongly condemned the terrorist bombings that targeted two churches in Tanta and Alexandria in Egypt, resulted in the killing and wounding of dozens of innocent civilians in places of worship, describing them as a horrible crime that is incompatible with moral and human values.
The Secretary-General expressed solidarity of the GCC countries and their full stand with the efforts of the Egyptian government to confront and fight terrorists and eradicate this dangerous scourge that threatens the societies and their national unity, stressing the urgent need for concerted international efforts to combat terrorism and eliminate its extremist organizations.
