Former Lebanese prime minister Saad el Hariri offered his condolences to Saudi King Salman bin Abdel Aziz in the death of the victims of the crane collapse accident in the Grand Mosque in Mecca.
In the cable, released by his media office in Beirut, Hariri wished speedy recovery to all injured.
A construction crane crashed into the Grand Mosque in Mecca on Friday as it was full of worshipers, almost two weeks before the start of Hajj pilgrimage.
Some 107 pilgrims, including two Egyptians, were killed and 230 others injured in the accident blamed on high winds and bad weather.
