President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a phone conversation Tuesday with Sierra Leone President Ernest Bai Koroma to offer condolences over the death of hundreds of people during mudslides and massive flooding that hit the capital.
During the phone call, Sisi voiced solidarity with Sierra Leone, saying Egypt is ready to provide support.
The two leaders discussed details of the crisis and ways to coordinate efforts via diplomatic channels.
On Monday, muddy rubble swept through the Regent area near the capital, Freetown, killing more than 400 people and hundreds are missing.
