UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed condemned on Sunday the recent attack on the Saudi embassy in Tehran and its consulate in Mashad.
Delivering a speech before the emergency meeting of the Arab League (AL) council, Abdullah bin Zayed said the UAE rejects categorically the Iranian interference in Saudi Arabia's internal affairs and in any other Arab country.
The UAE supports all strict measures taken by the Saudi authorities to face terrorism and extremism, he asserted.
The meeting comes upon a request from Saudi Arabia to deplore the Iranian breaches and assaults on its diplomatic missions' premises in Iran.
The Iranian attack on the Saudi embassy in Tehran and its consulate in Mashhad city is a blatant violation of all international charters and norms that call for states to protect all premises of diplomatic missions of any country, he underlined.
The Saudi measures aim to confront all forms of terrorism and stop anyone trying to incite sectarian sedition and cause instability in the Saudi Kingdom, he said.
