The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has condemned the attack in Rasheedin west of Aleppo on 5,000 evacuees traveling from Foah and Kefraya towns to government-held areas.
The UN chief expressed his condolences to the families of the victims wishing those injured a speedy recovery. He called on the parties to ensure the safety and security of those waiting to be evacuated pursuant to the Four Towns Agreement.
Those responsible for Saturday's attack must be brought to justice, according to Stephane Dujarric, Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General.
