Egypt's Nile river Luxor - Arab Today Luxor is gearing up for a new celebration titled "Bride of the Nile" to be held in mid December as part of tourism promotion efforts. The idea behind the celebration is to promote tourism and stress the greatness and uniqueness of the ancient Egyptian civilization, the event organizers said. The organisers held a meeting today at the Luxor municipal council to prepare for the event and lay down an initial vision about its organisation. Among the organisers is renowned architect and activist Mamdouh Hamza, actor Mahmoud Qabil and director Khaled Galal.
