To enrich the Arabic children's library Sharjah - Arab Today Kalimat - the Sharjah-based publishing house dedicated solely to publishing high quality Arabic children's books - has announced the release of 20 new titles during its participation in the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF 2013), as part of its mission to enrich the Arabic children's library. Kalimat will also be hosting a diverse line-up of exciting events and activities for children at its stand, including story reading sessions, book signings, and a number of meetings with authors and illustrators. Speaking on the occasion, Tamer Said, Business Development Manager at Kalimat Group, commented, "The Sharjah International Book Fair offers an ideal platform for us and publishers from all over the world to exhibit new works to a large number of visitors and guests, including men of letters, intellectuals and critics. The Fair also offers us an excellent opportunity to meet with children and their families, and listen directly to their opinions about our publications and the topics covered in children's stories by our authors." "Kalimat is determined to make the best use of this year's participation in order to press ahead with its drive to foster a love of reading in Arabic among Emirati and Arab children," Said emphasised. He stressed that the new titles would add richly and uniquely to Kalimat's portfolio of over 140 books and publications for children and the young, many of which have won local, Arab and international awards. The list of new releases includes books for various age groups. Source: WAM
