Plastic arts are an essential area of human culture as it builds bridges of communication among Arab countries, Kuwaiti artist Adel Khalaf said on Sunday. This came while speaking to KUNA on sidelines of his participation with artists from Iraq and Lebanon in the first Carthage days of contemporary arts, concluded today at Culture City in Tunis.
This exhibition, which is organized by Kuwaiti,'s Boushahri Gallery, provides an opportunity for different audiences to discover the arts and leading Arab artists, as its presents the effects of community life on the artist's work and the challenges of conflict in the Arab world, Khalaf said.
The exhibition includes paintings by artists from Kuwait and some Arab countries, where his participation is a result of prior cooperation with their Tunisian counterparts. Adding Boushahri Gallery had issued a special book on the paintings, which makes this exhibition so special.
The Tunisian Ministry of Culture opened Wednesday the first session of the Carthage days of contemporary art with the participation of wings and galleries from Kuwait, Tunisia, Turkey, Libya, France and others.
