American University of Sharjah (AUS) Sharjah - Arab Today American University of Sharjah (AUS) will hold a media roundtable on Sunday, June 16, 2013, to announce the annual conference of the Arab Forum for Environment and Development (AFED) that will take place in October. The conference will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan Bin Mohammad al-Qassimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah and President of AUS. AFED is a regional organisation, whose mission is to advance prudent environmental policies and action in the Arab countries, based on science and awareness. His Excellency, AFED's Secretary-General, Najib Saab, will address the roundtable and present an overview of the anticipated AFED's Annual Report on sustainable energy which will be launched in October at the opening of the annual conference in Sharjah. Saab will also reveal some of the main topics on the agenda of the conference, and names of speakers who will address the sessions.
