Ahmed was killed by radical Muslims in Suez Suez – Sayed Mohamed Egyptian Islamic groups in the Suez region demanded the implementation of Islamic school uniform throughout educational institutions, in order to protect the country’s “Islamic identity.” They called on Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi to issue a presidential decree to impose their demands. The area has witnessed a creeping radicalisation of Islamist mores following the election of Muslim Brotherhood leader, Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi. The Islamic groups expressed their protest in a statement distributed around the Faculty of Science, criticising the Faculty for allowing students to enter university premises without wearing “Islamic uniform.” The ad hoc group announced its intention to form a committee, cooperating with other Islamist organisations to supervise student clothing on campus. Last June a student, 20-year-old Ahmed Hussein Eid, died in Suez after suspected Islamist militants reprimanded him for walking in public with a woman who was not his wife.
