Khalil bin Abdullah al Khonji Muscat - Arabstoday Oman will soon have a Science City to cater to the needs of the scientific community, according to a spokesperson of The Research Council (TRC). A meeting of the TRC was held on Monday at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) where the goals and programmes of the city were presented. According to Khalil Bin Abdullah al Khonji OCCI chairman and , head of economic committee at TRC, said that the city will be crucial for the establishment of scientific institutions and research centres and that the city will produce competent and qualified cadres for the labour market. The city will contain all facilities needed by researchers and students and it will provide a proper academic and dynamic environment for learning through training courses, forums and conferences, among other means.
