Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghafar on Friday asserted the importance of boosting cooperation between Egypt and Germany in different scientific and technological fields.
The minister highlighted the necessity of capitalizing on the fruitful cooperation between the ministry and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in honing the skills of Egyptian researchers.
Assistant Higher Education Minister for Cultural Relations, Missions and University Affairs Hossam el Mallah submitted a report on the DAAD and Higher Education Ministry co-financed Program GERLS for the academic year 2018-2019.
The deadline for submitting applications is on December 1st, Mallah said, adding that the scholarships will extend for 12 months and can be doubled to 24.
The age of the applicants shouldn't exceed 30 years for researchers and 35 for supervisors.
Students can apply for the scholarship through the websites: www.daad.eg/GERLS and www.funding-guide.de, Mallah added.
