Dubai Court of Appeal has used educational expert Dubai - Arabstoday Dubai Court of Appeal has ordered a private school to pay parents of a schoolboy Dh77,500 ($21,000) in compensation for failing to improve their son’s academic performance. The parents were successful in their claim after the Court overruled the verdict of the First Instance of Civil Court. Head of Civil Prosecution Abdullah Mohammed Kulaib confirmed that the parents of the student had asked the school to pay them Dh77,500 comprising of school fees for class one and two, plus moral compensation after the boy was promoted to a higher class despite a low academic performance. The father claimed that the school had failed to pay attention to improving his son’s performance.
