Former actor and politician Arnold Schwarzenegger Algiers – Khaled Alloush Former Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger visited Algeria on Monday to sign an agreement between R20 (Regions of Climate Action), and the Algerian government. The famous actor, who is president of the non-profit organisation, will attend a ceremony in Algiers in the presence of Algerian Minister of National Planning, the Environment and the City, Amara Benyounes. As part of the agreement, the Algerian government will provide R20 with an office in the coastal Mediterranean city of Oran. Founded in 2010 by Schwarzenegger and with the cooperation of the UN, R20 is a coalition of regional governments that work to promote reduced global energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
