Pacific Ocean off the coast of Peru London – Arab Today An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale, has struck near the northern coast of Peru. The 2 km deep tremor shook the coastal village in the early hours of the morning, on Monday. Buildings suffered minor damage; however no casualties have been reported. The epicenter of the quake lay near the coastal district of Paita, close to the Pampa Galeras National Reserve.
